Original Sin (Unrated) Movie: A Sound: A Picture: A Reviewed By: David MGM and director Michael Cristofer team up to bring you "Original Sin". "A
Provocative Presentation
Of Lust, Never-Ending Love And Danger."
-San Antonio Express-News Featuring additional footage too explicit for theaters, this Unrated Version of the year's sexiest film is riveting and revealing entertainment you simply must see. Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro) and Oscar® winner Angelina Jolie (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) pull out all the stops in this sultry film in which "sex is used the old-fashioned way: as a deadly weapon" (Detroit Free Press)! Wealthy Cuban merchant Luis Vargas (Banderas) only knows his bride-to-be through letters of love. And when he finally meets Julia (Jolie) on their wedding day, he is left breathless by her beauty and smoldering sexuality. But behind that beauty, a devious mind is at work. For even as they satisfy their hunger for one another, her thoughts drift toward quenching a desire that is solely hers. And when Luis is deprived of his business, his bank account and his new wife, he begins a relentless pursuit of the woman cunning enough to steal his money and charismatic enough to steal his heart! Luis Vargas (Antonio Banderas) is a handsome and seemingly mild-mannered Cuban businessman. The pragmatic entrepreneur has everything except a wife. His mercantile mentality stretches into his personal life, as he figures the best way to marry without the complication of love would be to obtain an American mail order bride. As the story opens he is headed to meet the woman who he feels will make his life complete. Her name is Julia Russell (Angelina Jolie) and her face doesn't match the picture sent to Luis. She offers an acceptable reason and his initial suspicions are dropped. But the audience senses something Luis strangely does not that there may be more to Julia than meets his pleased eye. We learn that many of her stories are fabrications, she has odd recurring nightmares, in the corner of her room is a trunk she absolutely refuses to unlatch and she opts against writing her deeply concerned sister. Perhaps his apparent inability to question is due to the fact that he's smitten with her and wants to give her everything. It looks as though his new wife will beat him to the punch as she has her own hidden agenda. Upon realization that the love of his life has skipped out with all his money, Luis becomes enraged and embarks on a mission to find and kill her. He is aided by a private investigator (Thomas Jane) hired by Julia's worried sister. Will he actually go through with the murder once he locates her or will he be seductively drawn into her game of corruption? You will have to watch the movie to find out! About the extras, the R- rated version does not have any but the unrated version does feature an extended love scene and provocative never before seen footage in addition to an audio commentary by Director Michael Cristofer, a photo gallery, the You Cant Walk Away From Love music video by Gloria Estefan and the original theatrical trailer. Both versions sell for the same price and are being released on the same day. "Original Sin" is a very exceptional film and Banderas, Jolie, and Jane are perfect cast. I cannot imagine a different set of actors particularly in the roles played by Jolie and Banderas being as convincing or being able to touch the level of electrifying sexually charged energy these talented actors were able to bring to this film. "Original Sin" is recommended but please remember that this movie is for adults and not children because of all the nudity and sex in this film. Click here to purchase this DVD movie in our store.
